Nelson Kraybill, PhD

Nelson Kraybill began as president of AMBS in 1997, following significant experience as a pastor, scholar and mission worker. He served as director of the London (England) Mennonite Centre for six years immediately before coming to AMBS. Earlier, from 1983 to 1987, he served as pastor of Taftsville Chapel Mennonite Fellowship in Taftsville, Vermont. He writes and speaks extensively on two primary areas of study: the early church and the book of Revelation. Following his departure from AMBS in 2009, Nelson joined the pastoral team of Prairie Street Mennonite Church in Elkhart, Indiana, and has continued teaching throughout the church. He is president-elect of Mennonite World Conference and began a six-year term as president in 2015.
